first week of school

Hey Guys
After a week of no update I wanted to apologize for that, and tell you that I've had a hard week, a lot of new stuff to learn, lot of assignments and readings, it just sucked let me tell you that...I've read about more then 200 pages in just one week, if it continues like that I wont have any time to be bored!
I am still runnin round because of my transfer credits, and this week it has again been hot as hell, 105° it just sucked, they even send mails out, that we can go and spend the night at the REC, because that one is airconditionned. It was a crazy week, they gave us water everywhere around campus, for free. So it was really hot.
My classes are ok so far, just a lot to do, that sucks, but welcome to an american college I would say ;) The only thing that's not so cool, is that I have 4 classes with freshmen and only a lot of freshmen live on campus, so it is very hard to find someone who's my age, but well the exchange and internationals are mostly over 21 so that's fine, but I wanna meet some americans too ;)
Well yes here we go with some party pics from the weekend! It was an awesome weekend to party, and we've had a lot of fun, except that you were just drippin, after one dance, but well yes, let's get used to it, it's just hot a lot of pple and everyone loves to dance ;) it is just really cool! Saturday Larissa had her birthday and she turned 21, it was great fun, because Sean had organized a little suprise party for her, so it was really lots of fun! ;) She didn't know at all so it was pretty funny when she arrived at martins house ;) I can't see anything... ;) We were having
a lot of fun and well yes I got home late every night, and my roomie was already a sleep, but I guess she's fine with it, because she didn't say a word about it! :)

Finally I wanted to show you how my bathroom looks like, it's a little special and some of you wouldn't want to use it, but it's ok, except on a sunday, when the housing stuff was gone for the week-end... And I got my flipflops to shower so I'm fine, that's what Germany learned me, always take your flipflops for the bathroom, or the shower, because some Gyms didn't have so nice floors.
Well yes I have some readin to do, so I hope you're all doing well, THX for your comments so far Laure and Dani ;) It's always nice to see what everyone thinks about ;)

MU Block Party & Room

Hey Guys...
Yesterday Emily moved in, and I could finally arrange all my staff, following you'll see some pictures how the room looks now, it's a little better now than it was before, I still haven't got any posters, but that will hopefully come soon. At least I got my pictures, next to my bed, so I can always have a look at them when it's necessary.
The picture right above shoes my bed, the blanket is not on the bed yet, because it is just so hot, so for the moment I'm just sleeping with sheets ;) which is really enough :D
Here we go with my desk, which is cool and I finally got a network cable so my internet works... So I'm not on and off the line in just 5 minutes, don't worry guys!





Right next to here, we have our closets...Mine is the left one, Emily's is the right one. all the other stuff on the picture belongs to Emily!



The next pic shows her bed...everything looks not as messy as my stuff, but I am sorry I don't wanna clean...

















Here we go with Emilys desk and her small TV, which ohne is not so much for myself, but well I don't need one to be honest, as I think I got so many stuff to do, that there is not much time left for TV.
She hasn't got a Laptop, so she's most of the time sittin in front of her Computer...





Here we go with our MU Block party, another event with free food, for the First Year students, well it was kind of nice and we love cornwhole... ;) We tried to play american football, but we still don't give the Ball the right spinn it's just too hard for us..But Martin has got the skills, kind of but he's our physical education man so he'll get it pretty soon ;)
So all of those following pictures are from the yager stadium. They are going crazy about their University!They also got Redhawks cookies!It is really nice over here!

Frat Party

So dear guys the first Frat Party has made his way into my life...actually it wasn't that good... You will get free beer, which is Naturally Light, and it is just now good! I couldn't drink it at all...
And yes, only the freshmen, and sophomores were here yesterday evening, because upperclassmen only arrive today or tomorrow...
So most of the students aren't 21 yet, but still everyone drinks, because the beer is for free and no one checks if you're 21 or not...so it's your own responsability...
What is kind of funny, is that the whole town celebrates back to school party...because uptown inbetween the frats, were a lot of people ;)
But too young...they look so young and are so young, I am really happy that my roommate is 21...because otherwise I would be dying... haha
Not with a person like sean, but I don't know if there is anyone in this building who gets close to sean :D

What I think is kind of funny too, is the picture right next to this text... "Daddy don't worry, we'll take care of her" it's a little dark, because it was already late night, when I saw it and took the picture butI just wanted to show you guys... ;)



The next Picture, is of Martin and myself ;) We had fun and he will be my motivationt trainer for practise he? because he studies physical education, will be here for a year, as he's an exchange student from the Tcheq Republic!

I am sorry I couldn't update the last days, but I'm quite busy runnin round and gettin stuff settled because of my transfer credits...
And as in today it seems that I might have to stay for three semesters, but we'll see how everything works out!

After Martin and myself a little Picture of Sean, at the free Concert that was held for freshmen, but we left pretty early because there weren't enough people... ;)
well yes it is kind of cool, my roommate moves in today, she kind of woke me up...but that's life I guess ;) I should have gone to bed earlier...
But it is the last week-end before classes start and homework begins, so last week to go out and meet new people ;)

REC and all that stuff

Hey guys...

Yesterday the REC opened... I've never seen a similar thing before!
It is so large and every student can use it for free....(well yes it is included in your tuiton and fees actually...) But yes everyone can use it...
It has a large swimming pool, where we can go everyday and have fun...but that's not everything...the swimming pool has also a hut tub area, where you can go into a whirl pool, and all that kind of stuff...It also has a Waterbasketball rim and ball in that hot tub area...It is really Preatty amazing...







So here we go with some pictures of the swimming pool...where you can really swim and not only "planschen" hehe...As you can see here we also have a jumping tower...but that one was actually still closed yesterday, but I am not such a jumping freak so no problem for me with that...




O well yes and I nearly forgot... we've got more than one beach volleyball court outside...also really cool...(just for the moment it is too hot for anything...
And we have frisbee golf outside (haha) never heard of that before either...it is kind of funny all the stuff we don't have back home...

Here we have our running track...that's actually inside the gym...it is just so amazing!











Here we have my favorite courts...we have 3 basketball courts available...but everyone told me that when the americans arrive, the gym will be so booked...so I really got to take care of that... but I can go there any time I want isn't that amazing... Well it closes at 11 pm but that's ok for me...I am not in need of midnight sports... ;)
Here we have a special Picture... I love it,because I've never seen such a thing before... the campus has it's own Police and it is larger than the oxford police corp... it has 29 person, and the oxford one has 28...(poor Luxembourg) we have 57 police officers, in a really small town... but yeah I think it is kind of a funny thing :D ! Picnic @ Houston Woods

Hey guys... Today was Houston woods, and I was really lookin forward to a parc, with trees and lots of green, but I was wrong... and I wasn't the only Person who was wrong! Lot's of People thaugt that it would just be a small parc...But it was as you can see below, a little lake, with a beach...really didn't expect that, but we really had a great time ;)

We were playing Ultimate Frisbee, enjoying ourselfs, enjoying the sun, the water which was really warm, it wasn't the refreshment we actually needed after playing Ultimate Frisbee in the afternoon sun...
The French group from Audencia/ Nantes arrived, they are exchange students and seem to be really nice, all Business students so we have a lot to talk about... ;)


Well yes on the Picture below you can see a small group of the french guys, Sean, Gabriella, Michelle... and some more... it was a real nice afternoon

Well yes after the group Picture, I asked Martin if he could show me an american Smile, because when his ID was made the lady at the desk told him to smile like an American, because they have larger Smiles... than europeans... hrhr



after this one you can see how sunburned I am...actually I think that I will never learn to take care of myself to not get suburned and as my mum's no more with me I have gotten now one who can put cream on mee :( poor mee


Well yes hope your all doing well, I think I told you everything what was going on today... Tonight, we may be going uptown so I can have my first coctail in the States... Caus I am 21 never forget that ;)

Walmart & Jungle Jim's

Hey Guys...
Today was Walmart & Jungle Jim's Day... So I was pretty busy, that's why I only find time to write to you right now!
I love Walmart, that's why it has also a picture of it in this blog... ;) because you can buy really everthing there, I bought myself a blanket, sheets, towels, 2 box fans, as It shows on the Picture too, o my gosh I tell you guys I am so happy to have those... before it was so freakin hot in here...
and I coulnd't change anything about it...now it cooled off at least a little bit...















The Movie yesterday was a real drive in for cars, it was kind of freaky but really nice though! We watched, rush hour 3... got a say it I love Jacky :D
Because those Walmart and Jungle Jim's were POL activities, I got to know a little more people around here!
After Walmart, we went Uptown, cause my POL Leaders took me there! They were really nice, and one of them was even from Luxembourg! How nice is that!
After Lunch we went to jungle jim's which is an International food store and has really everything...well as I am not missing so much the home food already, I have no Idea what to buy, but the chinses, or better say the asian people got crazy, just bought food and all that kind of stuff... I really fell sorry for them, because I am not willing to cook here, with all that meal plan stuff going on...well maybe in 2 weeks, I will be longing for myself cooking something...we'll see ;)
After Jungle Jim's we shortly went home, and Larissa the Lux girl and sean you can see him on this picture right beside, invited us to have pizza with them, at sean's appartement! It was really nice, but how did I say to Joel..? This is the first Party I am having, without alcohol...kind of weired though :P
But pretty funny ;)
Now you all might wanna know who is Joel, he's another Luxemburgish Guy, and just starts his studies over here!He played Basketball too, so we right away had something to talk about...and the first question he had was how can I be Rheinlandpfalz meister (as I was wearing my pinky shirt today...)
So guys see how I miss you!
Well yes we had a lot of stuff to talk about really funny and as soon ass rec center opens, we gonna go ahead and take some hoops ;)


So here you have a Pic of us at Sean's Place, let me introduce the Persons, from left to right... I hope you still remember myself, then Vivianne, she's from France, Michelle guess where she's from Luxembourg, we can't believe it... Joel, and Gabriella, she's from Germany actually but studied a year at the Uni.lu... (I agreed with Joel, that we would never ever do that :))
But yes she enjoyed it, and got to know Larissa there...they came to Miami University together...and Gabriella knows really a lot... and she loves talking... ;)
She can talk to you and you feel like her mouth is a gun of words... Kind of funny...
Well yes, know to the Picture right beside me... Let me introduce you Michelle, she graduated this year from Athenee and is starting her studies at Miami University (The one in Florida is actually called University of Miami for those who didn't know... I've learned it today... ;)) (ThX Gabriella) We are not studying the same but talked a lot, while the asian guys where having fun at Jungle Jim's and we kind of understood each other, because the asian guys are not so up for talking... it was nice meetin you and I'm sure we gonna have a lot of fun this year ;)
What more can I tell you guys...o yes we had Dominos Pizza... I just love em.. sorry for that but I really reminds me times in DC with Mr. Berns and the Mopses :) sorry for that Vince...
Well yes I was really enjoying myself today, but I miss you like crazy...

2nd day @Muohio

Hey Guys

Well 2nd Day @MuOhio started....and I've created a Blog ;) I am very happy about that ;)
Today I've got an Email from my brother and got the leavin Pictures from Home, so I'll publish them today! So everyone can see a Family Pic ;) haha

So here we go with that ones! My Brother is being kind of unfair on this one as I think... Why did you make a pic of that? But well yes daddy tells him already that's not right ;)




























The second one is nicer, that's what I think at least!
One more picture for you guys, as my mum wanted to have one with Tammy Myself and the Car (-> UP went with us to Franfurt ;))
Well yes to many Luggage I would say... And still I see what everything is missing over here...

Now let me tell you a bit about what's going on over here...Campus life didn't start for real yet, only the International Students had to report to Campus, so I haven't seen many none Chinese, and those are already in groups, and I can't speak Chinese... hrhr But my RA's are really nice, they took me to lunch yesterday and today, they took me Uptown and we went eat to a Mexican Restaurant, and I even played one of their training games with them! Well some of you might now ask what's an RA? I don't know what those Initals are standing for, but I know that they are living in each Residence Hall, and if you have any question or Problem you can ask them and they will really try to help you out!
2night they are taking me to a car movie or whatever I didn't get that one yet...But I'll tell you 2morrow. Today I went to see Mr. Bixler who got everything with my transfer credits done for me, he seemed pretty nice, and told me what I still needed to do! And guess what which department is silly again ;) It's the ECON one... as always ;)After that I went sign up with some office that is responsible for my scholarship, and as it is so hot I can't walk around on campus that much, so that's the reason why I am again in the TV room and writing so much...

Tell me what you are up for these days! With Basketball I still need to wait, because the coaches are on holidays from today on, so I can't find them on Campus, and as I am just a walk on she told me to stay calm and talk to them the following week...let's see what that gives me!

Hey Guys...

First Email was sent, and I've already recieved, more then one answer!THX for that! Really appreciated it! Before going to bed yesterday I thought about opening such a blog... ;) And I wanted to sent Vince a Mail and ask em how it works, but he answer pretty quick to my email, and told me that I should do this, which I think is a pretty good Idea, because for me I can see after my stay here, what I went through, and you guys always know what is going on over here!

So blog is a nice idea ;)

This is just a try, and I haven't got that much time, because I just got up, and there are still things to do... so I'll give it a longer message 2night ;)
