We were supposed to have a pool workout at the rec, right next to my door, but we still had to meet up at the gym...So we gathered all up there and coach sent us on an adventure, not to a pool workout...so we just thought it was going to be teambonding and we would have to teach the freshmen the fight song... So here we are 14 players ready for the adventure on a hot thursday afternoon...Coaches let us out on western campus close to the art museum and we hald to run to the child development center, because our coaches let us out at 3:10 and we were supposed to be there at 3:15...so a little jog over the bridge on western campus, where we had to do circle time with the 3 year old kids ;) So they taught us their little song.... (I had a little turtle, his name was tiny tim, I put him in the bathtub to see if he could swim, he drank up all the water, he ate up all the soap, he woke up in the mornin a buble in his troat... buble buble........POP :D)
Then we got out next hint and the destination was the reflection pool behind shriver...we had to make up our goals and throw a penny into the water and make a wish alltogehter...then we had to sing the song to Colleen, and she gave us the next hint...next destination, the hub or seal behind upham...it has the symbols of the past present and future, so everybody had to say something about their past present and future and we got the next destination ;) It was withrow, where we talked about how women had evolved in sports and we had to tell, which women most influenced us in our lives... We still had no clue, the only thing we knew, was that we were supposed to walk into millett at 4:30 and take the court all locked up and sing the fight song....so then all of a sudden, the highlight video from the mac champs pops up with music and everything...once it is done it is kind of akward because there is a spotlight on the hoop with a present..but we were not sure if it was for us or what it was...and it did not say anything about it...so we decided not to get it....a couple of minutes later, the coaches told us to get it and there was a marked spot where we were supposed to open it...so all of a sudden, balloons fall down, and our rings and in this huge present...amazing and a memory for lifetime ;)
so basically basketball is going well...most of the conditionning is over ;) and only 2 more practice days before official practice starts and we get to be in season ;) school is stressfu as usual, but I'm trying to not let it bother me too much...only this and the next semester and I get my bachelor :D hopefully all of you people are doin well ;) I miss you lots and lots send you big hugs ;)
